The Industrial Development Authority will complete the study of investors requests to allocate industrial units in the new complexes next month, following the sale of more than a thousand brochures in offering 7 complexes, which ended the period of withdrawing the brochures on November 5.
According to sources in the authority to "The Seventh Day", the requests submitted by investors to start privatizing the new units, which number 1,657 industrial units, are being studied, indicating that after the period of drawing up the brochures, the authority studies the applications and seeks to complete them before the end of next month in preparation for privatization.
The new industrial units are available in the governorates of Alexandria, the Red Sea, the Gharbia, Beni Suef, Minya, Sohag, and Luxor. They include food and engineering projects, furniture, ready-made clothes, chemical and plastic industries, and building materials industry, offered in the method of privatization, ownership, or lease.
The Enterprise Development Agency will finance the purchase of machinery and equipment or working capital, with bank facilities and easy terms, and that this funding will be made available to the owners of factories that apply the approved conditions and controls. The agency will also provide training, marketing and technical support services, especially since the government has developed an integrated strategy to enhance opportunities for Industrial development through the establishment of industrial complexes for small and medium industries, equipped with different areas suitable for various activities of small industries, and to facilitate the speed of starting the activity by handing over factories ready with facilities and licenses.
