Eng. Mohamed El Suwaidi, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the Egyptian Support Coalition, said that he received a promise from Dr. Mostafa Madbouli, Prime Minister, to review the tax and customs policies imposed on the industrial sector during the coming period.

He pointed out in special statements that the Union has submitted about 10 main demands of the Prime Minister on mechanisms to promote the industrial sector, which includes reviewing the prices of energy supplied to factories, as well as the prices of industrial land, which is one of the main elements affecting the competitive capabilities of the sector both within the domestic market as well as in external export

 Al Suwaidi added that there is a necessity to activate the law of preference for the local product, as well as not to load the factories any additional burden is the imposition of real estate tax on them, noting that the Prime Minister expressed his understanding of those demands and promised to take action on them.
